- Yes! Depending on the authentication flow for the carrier, you will be able to connect your producers through to the carrier following their specific process.
- This process is also contingent on your agency's workflows for handling producer codes. If you use Elite Agents in GloveBox but aren't sure if you have producer codes with your carrier, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager prior to connecting.
- You will see the option to connect your producers for the policy divisions your agency has connected with that specific Carrier.
- As a reminder, sub-producer codes are case-sensitive within GloveBox. Please make sure these are accurate prior to attempting to save any changes.

What information is pulling over from the carrier into GloveBox?
- All data pertaining to your policyholders that is currently pulling over from your Agency Management System (AMS) will now pull in from your carrier. This includes things like -
- First and last name for the insured party
- Commercial business name
- Contact phone numbers
- Contact email addresses
- Policy types
- Policy numbers
- Policy effective dates
- Policy documents
- Commercial policy certificates
- Auto policy driver and vehicle details
- All data pertaining to your policyholders that is currently pulling over from your Agency Management System (AMS) will now pull in from your carrier. This includes things like -
- What's the difference between GloveBox's Active Policy Monitoring feature and the Book of Business?
- Active Policy Monitoring is a tool that will remain available for any carriers who aren't connected through the book of business. This feature offers the option for a customer to connect to certain policy types with specific carriers at the policy level. To complete this step, a client must log in to the carrier from within GloveBox, and this must be done for each client who would like to connect through to Active Policy Monitoring.
- Alternatively, the Book of Business offers a carrier level connection. Once your agency connects to a specific policy division and carrier, all policy data and documents for policies with that carrier will pull in to GloveBox.
- To learn more about active policy monitoring, you can check out this article.
- How can I disconnect from the Book of Business if I need to do so?
- Within the 'Integrations' tab, you can disconnect by clicking the meatball menu (three dots) in the top right-hand corner of the policy division screen.
- Within the meatball menu, you'll find the options to 'Sync' or 'Disconnect.'
- Selecting 'Sync' will prompt the system to pull any updates since the last update was received.
- Selecting 'Disconnect' will remove the connection to the carrier for the specific policy division.
- Disconnecting from the Book of Business will not remove policies, documents, or clients.
- Disconnecting will prevent future syncs to occur with the Carrier and Policy Division, meaning the system will not reflect changes or updates to any policies or documents.
- Within the meatball menu, you'll find the options to 'Sync' or 'Disconnect.'
- Within the 'Integrations' tab, you can disconnect by clicking the meatball menu (three dots) in the top right-hand corner of the policy division screen.
-
What happens to my AMS data once I connect through my carrier?
- Your data will continue to show up within GloveBox as it always has. Now that your carrier’s information is pulling into GloveBox, the system will use the carrier as the source of truth and it will merge any AMS or manual data under the data pulled in from the carrier. Your AMS will continue to receive data from Ivans.
-
How often is this information pulling from my carrier over to GloveBox?
- GloveBox will complete an initial pull of your data once your account has been integrated, and will continue to sync data from your carrier each night and pull in any changes. Agencies also have the option to manually sync with their carrier from within GloveBox.
- It's important to be aware of the delays that can come from a carrier. Once your carrier has the policy information and documents available, then GloveBox will pull them in, but delays from the carrier's side can happen and may impact the time it takes for a connection to be established on a new policy.
-
Do my policyholders need to connect to the carrier in order to get this information?
- No, your policyholders don't need to connect to the carrier directly. The carrier data will flow into GloveBox automatically using the BoB integration.
-
When I’m connecting to the Book of Business for the first time, do I need to stay on the GloveBoxHQ Integrations tab?
- No. After choosing to connect, you can continue to use GloveBoxHQ and move between other tabs in the platform while your agency’s data is pulled over from your carrier.
-
When the Book of Business is establishing its initial connection between GloveBox and my carrier, how much time will it take for the connection to complete?
- Your initial connection between GloveBox and the carrier will be established within 24 hours. At that point, your clients and policies will all have pulled over to GloveBoxHQ.
- This connection may establish faster, however, this is dependent on the volume of data pulling over from the carrier and your internet connection. For example, if your agency has 1,000 policies, your connection will establish quicker than an agency with 10,000 policies.
-
If my agency has multiple locations, will Acuity connect for all of them?
- This depends on how your systems are set up. If each location has its own agency code or login credentials with your carrier, you’ll need to connect to the carrier for each location. If your agency only has one agency code or login credentials for all locations, you’ll only need to integrate with the carrier one time.
-
Once the carrier is connected, will my policyholders receive notifications that there are new documents in their account?
- To ensure your policyholders don’t receive an influx of messages regarding documents from the carrier, GloveBox will only send out email notifications for documents that have been manually uploaded by your agency into GloveBox.
-
What should I do if I connected to my carrier through GloveBox and I typed in the wrong agency code?
- Reach out to the GloveBox success team and we can assist in updating your agency code.
