How to Adjusting Access to Contacts and Opportunities
GloveBoxCRM allows you to control what your team can see and do with contacts and opportunities. By managing permissions, you can decide whether team members only see their assigned records or gain broader access across your database.
Accessing Rules and Permissions
-
Click your name in the top-right corner.
-
Select Manage Users.
-
Go to Rules and Permissions.
From here, you’ll see a set of predefined roles (e.g., Producer, CSR, Manager). You can edit these roles or create entirely new ones.
Default Permissions
-
Producers and CSRs: By default, they only see contacts and opportunities assigned directly to them.
-
Admins and Managers: Automatically have access to more reports and broader visibility.
Adjusting Permissions
You can expand or restrict what a role can see:
-
All Contacts – Enable this setting to give users visibility into every contact in your CRM.
-
Reassign Contacts – Control whether users can move contacts between team members.
-
Opportunities – Decide whether users see only their assigned opportunities or all opportunities.
-
Pipelines – Choose which pipelines are visible to a role and what actions they can take within them.
Creating Custom Rules
If you want granular control:
-
Click Create New Rule.
-
Define what data the role can see (contacts, opportunities, pipelines).
-
Assign the rule to the relevant team members.
Key Takeaway
By customizing Rules and Permissions, you control how much of your CRM data each role can access. This ensures Producers and CSRs only see what they need while Managers and Admins maintain full oversight.
