How to Set Up Marketplace

Now that you understand what Embedded Marketplace is, let’s walk through how to set it up for your agency.

Out-of-the-Box Setup

Good news: the Marketplace is ready to go the moment it’s turned on. Agencies don’t need developers, engineers, or long onboarding processes. All 60+ policy types are pre-configured with GloveBox intake forms that capture the information your team needs to generate quotes.

By default:

  • Personal lines are available (Commercial will be coming soon).
  • All forms route to the agency’s main sales email, phone, or SMS configured in GloveBoxHQ.

If you do nothing, clients will still have a functional Marketplace experience.

Customizing Your Marketplace

Every agency operates differently, so GloveBox allows you to customize the setup in GloveBoxHQ. You can:

  • Swap in your own forms: You can replace GloveBox’s forms for your specific ones.
    • Do this by selecting “Agency Details” on the left hand side of your screen. Then select Marketplace at the top of the page. By clicking the 3 dots next to each policy type you can update the forms. NOTE - Using the “All Personal Lines Quotes” will delete all existing forms from existing Personal Line Quotes.

  • Route submissions by team: Send home and auto quotes to one CSR and specialty coverages to a partner.
    • Do this by clicking the 3 dots next to the policy type and click “Configure.” Then add the info needed.

  • Add referral partners: Don’t write life insurance or health? Link a referral partner’s form or email, so those leads are directed seamlessly.
    • Do this by clicking the 3 dots next to the policy type and click “Configure.” Then add the info needed.

This flexibility allows you to run Marketplace exactly the way you want—while still standardizing how client information flows into your agency.

How Clients Experience It

From the client side:

  1. They open the Marketplace tab in their portal or mobile app.

  2. They see an intuitive carousel of coverages based on what they already have. For example, if they already have home and auto, they’ll see motorcycle, boat or pet insurance promoted.

       3. They can select up to five policies to quote at once, fill out one streamlined form,               and review a clean summary of their inputs.

       4. If a policy type is configured with an external partner form, they’re seamlessly                      redirected after completing their GloveBox forms.

Managing Marketplace Options

  • Agencies can turn off personal lines entirely by contacting GloveBox support (though it’s not recommended).

  • Soon, you’ll be able to toggle individual policy types on or off directly in GloveBoxHQ. This is on our product roadmap and being worked on.

  • Best practice: if you don’t sell a policy line, connect a referral partner instead of disabling it. This keeps clients in your ecosystem and prevents them from defaulting to Google or direct carriers.

Why This Matters

By setting up Marketplace, you’re creating a digital storefront for your agency. Every client interaction—from referrals, to cross-sells, to policy additions—flows through one consistent process. That means:

  • Less back-and-forth with clients

  • Faster response times

  • More opportunities to win and retain business

The setup is quick, the customization is flexible, and the payoff is significant: more revenue, higher retention, and happier clients.

Quick FAQs

Do I need technical help to set it up?
No. Marketplace works out-of-the-box with pre-built GloveBox forms. No developers or engineers required.

Can I use my own forms?
Yes. You can replace GloveBox forms with links to Canopy Connect, Zylo, or other intake tools for specific policies.

What if I don’t sell a certain line of business?
You can add a referral partner’s link or email so clients are directed seamlessly without leaving your ecosystem.

Can I turn off policy types I don’t want?
Currently, only entire segments can be turned off. Individual toggles for policy types are coming soon.

How many policies can a client quote at once?
Up to five policies can be selected and submitted together in a single flow.
