How to Set Up Marketplace
Now that you understand what Embedded Marketplace is, let’s walk through how to set it up for your agency.
Out-of-the-Box Setup
Great news: Marketplace is ready the moment it’s turned on.
You do not need developers, custom builders, or long onboarding. GloveBox provides:
- 60+ pre-built policy intake forms
- Automatic routing to your agency’s main contact info
- Mobile + web Marketplace experiences for all policyholders
By default:
- Personal lines are enabled.
- Commercial will also display when turned on for your agency.
- All form submissions route to the agency's configured sales email/SMS/phone.
Even if you make zero changes, you’ll still have a fully functional, professional Marketplace.
Customizing Your Marketplace (Personal & Commercial)
Every agency quotes differently — so GloveBox lets you customize Marketplace inside GloveBoxHQ → Agency Details → Marketplace.
You can configure:
1. Turn Policy Types On or Off (Personal & Commercial)
Agencies can now toggle individual policy types so clients only see the coverages you actually offer.
Examples:
- Turn off Classic Car if you don’t write it.
- Turn off Life Insurance if you strictly refer that business.
- Turn off Workers Comp or Cyber in commercial lines if you do not offer those products.
This gives your Marketplace a clean, relevant product lineup—and avoids confusing clients.
2. Control Commercial Business Sizes
For commercial Marketplace, agencies can enable/disable the three business-revenue categories:
- Small Business (Under $3M)
- Middle Market ($3M–$10M)
- Large Commercial (Over $10M)
Agencies who only handle SMB can turn off Middle Market and Large Commercial entirely so clients don’t submit forms that fall outside your appetite.
This prevents mismatched submissions and speeds up quoting.
3. Replace GloveBox Forms with Your Own Forms
If your agency prefers another intake tool (Canopy Connect, Zywave, JotForm, Google Forms, etc.):
- Click the three dots next to any policy type
- Select Configure
- Paste your own form link or email
⚠️ Note:
Using All Personal Lines Quotes or All Commercial Lines Quotes replaces all existing configured forms, so only use this if you intend to reset everything.
4. Route Policy Types to the Correct Team Member
You can assign a unique CSR/Producer for each policy type.
Example:
- Home, Auto → Personal Lines CSR
- Cyber, EPLI → Commercial Account Manager
- Boat, Motorcycle → Sales Team
- All large-commercial inquiries → Senior Commercial Producer
Go to the three dots → Configure → Add Contact Routing.
5. Add Referral Partners for Lines You Don’t Write
If you don’t write:
- Life
- Health
- Pet Insurance
- Flood
- Certain commercial lines
…you can assign a referral partner’s form, website link, or email.
Your client still stays inside your Marketplace and stays loyal to your agency.
How Clients Experience Marketplace
On mobile or web, clients simply:
- Open the Marketplace tab.
- See a smart list of coverages based on what they don’t currently have.
- Select up to five policies at once.
- Complete a clean, unified intake experience.
- Submit to your agency or an integrated referral partner.
If a policy is toggled off, clients will not see it.
If commercial line sizes are filtered (e.g., only SMB), clients only see those options.
Managing Marketplace Options
You can manage Marketplace in GloveBoxHQ:
- Turn policy types on/off (personal & commercial)
- Turn commercial business sizes on/off
- Assign routing per policy type
- Replace or remove intake forms
- Add referral partner links
If you need to disable entire personal or commercial sections, support can assist — though this is not recommended.
Why This Matters
A properly configured Marketplace becomes your agency’s digital storefront, improving:
- Cross-sell opportunities
- Lead capture
- Client experience
- Producer efficiency
- Retention
- Referral conversion
More importantly — it ensures clients shop through you, not Google or direct-to-consumer carriers.
