How to Hide and Unhide Policies in GloveBoxHQ

An agency guide for managing policy visibility

Summary

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to Edit, Hide, and Unhide policies in your agency’s GloveBox HQ. This functionality allows agency team members to control which policies are visible in the mobile app and web portal, streamlining the process of managing what policy information your customers see, all in real-time.

Why It Matters

GloveBox connects directly to your AMS, automating the process of adding, removing, or updating policy data inside of HQ. Meaning if a policy in GloveBox inherits incorrect information from the AMS, your agency would typically have to wait on the next AMS sync before any updated data appears for the client, leading to a poor policyholder experience.

With the hide-policy feature, your agency now has the flexibility to manage policy visibility directly within GloveBox, allowing you to save time, reduce administrative workload, and immediately support your customers.

How It Works

The hide-policy feature gives team members in your agency portal (GloveBoxHQ) the ability to conceal policies from both the mobile app and web portal.
Policies are still visible to your team in GloveBox HQ, and can be Unhidden at any time.
This feature applies to both carrier-sourced policies from your AMS and manually added ones.

To Edit or Hide a policy, users can access the ellipses ('meatball menu') in the policy section (see below) and select Edit/Hide. The policy will be updated or removed from the client’s view immediately inside of their ClientHub account.

Policies created manually in HQ (rather than from an AMS integration) ALSO have the delete and/or Edit Lines options (if packaged)

Where to Access This Feature

The hide/unhide functionality is available within the policy section of a client’s profile.

You can access this by navigating to any customer profile in GloveBox HQ under the Clients menu, finding the policies section, and using the ellipses ('meatball menu') for each individual policy.

Hidden Policies: Documents & ID Cards

Once a policy is hidden, clients will no longer see it in their portal. Any documents or ID cards associated with a hidden policy will no longer be accessible to the customer, so be sure to check they do not need to access to any items they require prior to Hiding a policy.

Common Questions

How do I delete a policy in GloveBox when its sourced from my AMS?
AMS policies can only be hidden, not deleted. If you're working with an AMS policy, you’ll only see the option to Hide in the menu. The policy will remain in your system but will not be visible to clients. If AMS policy data needs to be entirely removed from GloveBox, the policy should be removed from your AMS.

Is any data 'lost' when hiding a policy in GloveBox?
No. You can easily unhide the policy by following the same steps.
The policy will reappear in the web and mobile portals with all associated documents intact.
