Setting Up Your Profile in Better Agency

This guide walks new users through setting up their profile in Better Agency, including configuring contact information, SMS and forwarding numbers, email integration, and personalizing notification preferences to get started seamlessly.

Step 1: Access Your Profile Settings

  1. Log in to your dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the top-right corner and click Edit Profile.

Step 2: Verify Basic Information

  1. Confirm your First Name, Last Name, and Email Address are correct.
  2. Update if necessary.

Step 3: Set Up Your SMS Number

  1. Click the green Set Up SMS button.
  2. Choose an area code where you do most of your business.
  3. This number will serve as your texting number within Better Agency.
  4. Confirm the setup.

Step 4: Configure the Forwarding Number

  1. Enter the number where calls to your SMS number will be forwarded.
  2. This can be your office phone or cell phone.

Step 5: Add a Calendar Link

  1. If you use Calendly (a free account is available), copy your scheduling link.
  2. Paste the link in the provided field.
  3. This link will be embedded in campaigns to schedule meetings with clients.

Step 6: Input Commission Details (Optional)

  1. If you know your New Business Commission and Renewal Commission, enter them.
  2. If unsure, leave these fields blank for your admin to update later.

Step 7: Enable Support Access

  1. Check the box to allow the support team access to your account.
  2. This ensures quick troubleshooting if needed.

Step 8: Pause Campaigns Automatically

  1. Enable the feature to Pause Campaigns When a Response is Received.
  2. This prevents campaigns from continuing if a client requests more time or opts out.

Step 9: Upload a Headshot

  1. Click Choose File to upload a professional photo.
  2. This photo will appear in your profile and communications.

Step 10: Set Up Your Email Signature

  1. Copy your signature from Gmail or Outlook.
  2. Paste it into the Email Signature field.
  3. Click Update to save.

Step 11: Customize Goals and Preferences

  1. Set your monthly sales goals under User Premium Goals.
  2. Review and update Referral Settings to ensure your contact details are correct.
  3. Adjust Notification Preferences:
    • Enable Notify When a New Contact Is Received and Notify When a New SMS Is Received for timely updates.

Step 12: Connect Your Email

  1. Click Email Integration.
  2. Select Connect and sign in with your email provider.
  3. Grant permission for Better Agency to log emails automatically.
    • Emails sent or received will be saved in Better Agency while still appearing in your regular inbox.

Step 13: Save Your Settings

  1. Review all changes.
  2. Click Save to finalize your profile setup.

Revisit these settings any time you'd like to update your profile. Otherwise, you're all set!
