As shown in the search window above, you can search for a client by their name, email address, or phone number. Below are some helpful tips to search for clients.

  • Make sure you enter in the full name or contact method.
    • For example, if you're searching for someone with the last name 'Johnson,' you'll need to type out the full last name in order for results to generate.
    • Similarly, an email bjohnson@mailinator.com needs to be entered in full for results to populate.
  • Make sure to remove any dashes when searching by phone number.
    • Enter in 7207035676 as opposed to (720) 703-5676.
  • The type of search method you use will depend on how your agency is set up. However, as a general rule:
    • Using last name can be helpful for personal lines.
      • If you have an account for David and Lisa Barton, searching for Barton will filter down your results.
    • Using contact information, like email, or searching by a unique component of a business name, can be helpful for commercial lines.
      • If you're searching for Daisy's Florals LLC, searching for Daisy or using the email address on file will be helpful to filter as well.
  • If you're searching by contact information, be sure to reference the contact methods listed for this customer first in your AMS.
    • For example, if David and Lisa Barton are tied to the account, and David's email is listed first in the AMS, that's the email you'll want to use to search.

Since the most effective search terms will vary by how your agency operates, it's recommended that you play around with search a bit to figure out what will be most effective based on your unique nuances.

  • You can manipulate names in GloveBox to make it easier to locate accounts.
    • For example, you could change Taylor Jones to Taylor and Erin Jones, which would ensure that if Erin calls for the account, her name pops up when you're searching.
